Greening the home – your guide to indoor plants

There is just something about having plants indoors.

The health benefits are well documented – like air purification, keeping temperatures down and reducing dust, but for us – I just like them. They make me feel good and a room feel just a bit friendlier.

Here are some of our favourites:

Swiss Cheese Plant

We’re not too sure of the botanical name for this beauty, but it’s a type of climbing monsterea. Very hardy indoors, and looks fantastic when left to creep down from a height.

Rubber Tree

The Ficus Elastica is our go to large indoor plant. With broad leaves and purple hints it packs a big punch in a room – and is a nice update on the much loved and seen Ficus Lyrata (Fiddle Leaf).

Maidenhair Fern

Much loved by us for it’s soft feathery look. Is happy indoors in a well-lit position away from draughts. Needs little attention but to be kept well watered.
